Champs Sports, a subsidiary of Footlocker, is a retailer of premium sportswear and equipment brands. While working at Translation my copywriter and I handled seasonal campaign, social media calendars, and art direction collateral for the brand. In an attempt at a simplifed brand refresh, and for the company to own their unique position in the retail space, I pitched a campaign and directive based off the brand’s mantra- We Know Game.

A brand book for all employees, from corporate to store, was created to drive loyalty and foster pride. Featuring the manifesto and heroic imagery, the guide was meant to solidify marketing and used to reinforce the brand target audience.











Alongside my copywriter, Chris Mendez, we developed monthly content calendars based off current culture, games, hypes, and releases aimed at brand and franchise development for Champs Sports. Additionally, we also built social campaigns to exist with and compliment the seasonal brand campaigns.

At the end of 2014 @ChampsSports finished 1st place on the Social Media Retail Index from Engagement Labs, a ranking earned from overall measure of performance and effectiveness on a given social media channel.










As an approach to the Holiday campaign focusing on driving more foot traffic in stores, 'shoeflakes' were built out and based on new releases. They were posted in store vicinities, in-store and based online around their social media and website.
